about

I have this thing with love songs. I grew up listening to Phil Collins most of the time and that is regularly found back in my music. I also like Marillion a lot, hence my preference for using delay on guitars.
I also have this thing with writing love songs. I was quite infatuated with this young lady and subsequently wrote this as a birthday gift ( and a means of showing her I was very much head over heels.) As much as it never was to be, it's still an emotional track that keeps me going.

lyrics

October Falling ( R.d.G)

October falling
Past the green out of the blue
Leaves astray
The red and brown remind me of you

Graffity flowing
Upon the walls of stone and grey
Casting shadows
Upon all that which I should say

( Chorus)
Many miles away
Endowed in this synchronicity
Why do the lines sway
In this game of complexity
Dancing with ghosts
Something I cannot ignore
Wanting you drawn close
Please don’t shut the door
This here is your metaphor...

October falling
Into the sky nearing the sun
Eclipsed and sunburnt
Speaking to all but reaching none

( Chorus)

I’ve tried to change the way it looks
The features twisted by iron hooks
Enhancing what nature has designed
Correcting everything until it’s all aligned

Quietly dreaming of your fingertips
Running across my skin
Wanting to be near to you
To glimpse deep within

Sending away the angels
Admitting that I’m lost
Never knew a thing to say
Never knew just how to play
Every game that’s thrown my way...

( Solo)

This here is your metaphor...

( Fade)
